Deep Freeze Sucks

So the Mage's 51-point frost talent Deep Freeze is a useless piece of crap. I don't get the point of this thing. It stuns frozen targets for 5 seconds, right? So then you are waiting on global cooldown time. That reduces the actual stun time you have to work on your target to about 3 seconds, depending on lag delay. That's pretty useless right there, but you're also wasting the time on the opponent being frozen, and when they're frozen they can't do much of anything anyway. Not to mention freezing them and stunning them, and them popping a trinket to escape both at once. In any case, a frozen target needs to be bolted/lanced while it can be, not stunned for a couple of seconds. They need to take this damn thing off global cooldown or make it last longer or something. This wouldn't be much of an issue except it's the freakin' 51-point talent.

I'm just sayin'.

Blizzard has really stepped up their event stuff. Looking forward to what they come up with going forward.

And once again a good job to Hobbs for his work on these videos.

Wrath of the Lich King - Exploration Movie

This video is a little old, and even if you haven't seen it you've probably seen many of these areas by now from other sources, but it's still a great video.

It also gives a nice overview of the music you'll be hearing throughout the expansion. There's also a bit of vehicle combat footage at the end.

Hallow's End

Observed by both the Horde and the Alliance, Hallow's End is the celebration of the break between the Forsaken and the Scourge. Many tricks and treats await adventurers seeking holiday fun, including defeating the Headless Horseman, visiting inns and cities for fun items such as masks and costumes, and eating way too much candy in one sitting. As the first major holiday to start after the launch of the achievements system, this year’s version of the holiday includes an array of Hallow’s End-specific achievements. Hallow’s End begins October 18 and continues until November 1.

World of Warcraft - Athene

Another WoW video post. I know there's a lot of hate for Athene out there, and I hated him at first as well, because he comes across as obnoxious. I eventually gave him a chance and watched a couple clips and found that he is actually quite funny. Unfortunately he hasn't been putting out too many videos lately, and his youtube channel is spammed with his girlfriend talking about dating advice or politics and other crap.

Anyways, he does put out a video now and again, mostly FRAPS videos. Here's one that's pretty funny (Warning: there's lots of profanity when it comes to Athene):

Also, if you've never been to Black Temple, and want a quick (very quick) overview of what it's like, here's another one:

Athene's youtube channel: AtheneWins

So I'm looking out for amusing/interesting videos related to WoW right now, but expect posts of more substance soon, especially once Wrath of the Lich King comes out.

World of Warcraft - Hobbs

Sometimes, with World of Warcraft consisting of a lot of activities that are mindless, boring grinds, you can lose perspective on what is good about the game. I'm occasionally reminded of this by watching videos of other people playing the game. One of those people goes by the name of Hobbs.

Here's a video of Hobbs and his guild, Recycled Heroes, raiding Thunder Bluff.

As boring as WoW can get, raiding Thunder Bluff like that looks like fun. It makes me want to play, and have fun again.

You can check out more videos by Hobbs on his youtube channel.

I'll be keeping an eye on it as well, and posting any more outstanding videos from Hobbs.
